Dan is an accomplished executive with strong successes from start-up through maturity, driving cross-functional progress across a broad base of middle-market businesses in technology, distribution, and others. He has been an entrepreneur, corporate officer, and consultant.
Starting his career in the 1990s while obtaining a degree in Finance from John Carroll University, Dan was a co-founder and Chief Financial Officer for an Internet company where he led multiple equity financing rounds at increasing valuations tied to performance, and scaled the company to over 100 employees and a 4% national market share in its niche. While there, he developed strong expertise in business metrics and reporting, GAAP methodologies, managing the focus of the business model, financial planning and analysis, raising capital and working with outside service teams.
Those skills defined a perspective Dan most recently used as Chairman and CEO of a holding company which via his acquisition and operation model went from start-up, to profitability, mid seven-figure revenue, and significant IRR in its first 18 months.
Concurrently, Dan was Chief Operating Officer for a high growth multi-level marketing company in the energy space, directing the tactical requirements for deploying new products and entering new markets globally. He has created and grown infrastructure, assembled and managed teams, led growth initiatives, conducted due diligence processes and negotiated, closed, and transitioned acquisition candidates.
Dan also has grown a successful cross-functional consulting practice, and held the position of Chief Executive Officer for a mid eight-figure diversified holding company which was driven by financial metrics. He has been involved at Board level in various companies.
